After some considerable time and a lot of effort we can announce that the Dunkeswell Heritage Centre, at Dunkeswell Airfield, will be open on Sunday 25th September at 11am – 4pm, all flags flying!

We are aiming to open the centre on Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sundays.  With perhaps a break Jan to Feb where we can open by appointment to groups for a fee.

If you can, please come and join us and see our newest Heritage Centre which illustrates the story of Dunkeswell during WWII with photographs, storyline and supporting exhibits and artefacts.

To find us we are situated between the Aviator Restaurant and the Parachute centre, Skybuzz, on the main road to the airport. EX14 4LG.

You can find public catering and toilet facilities at the Aviator  just 50yds away – they will be very pleased to see you and if you want one of their fabulous carvery lunches you do need to book. J

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible who can make it and we hope you will find our offering interesting and enjoyable to visit.

Keith, thanks for your kind remarks I have little doubt that your offer of being a volunteer will be very welcome, so please make that known with our chairman Brian Lane Smith. Look forward to seeing you.
